The historic renovation of the JC Newman Cigar Co Clock Tower included the restoration of the facility to its original condition upon construction in 1910. With particular attention given to the structure and working mechanisms of the clock itself, the clock faces, bell and hammer were restored in their original locations while the counter weights, and pendulum were relocated to the new Cigar Museum. The result was the interactive experience offered to visitors of the factory to see the elements of such a complex piece of machinery within the context of a historic environment.
